IN THE SPILL 

A series of photographs that explores the sudden awareness of our own permeability to the world that arises in emergencies, particularly those that make the air, water and ground unsafe. Simultaneous an exploration of the idea of emergency, a word that comes from the same root as emerge and submerge, suggesting a liquid state of sudden change.
